LOOKING FOR THE IDEAL RETRO JET HELMET

Always the same. The winter term here in Austria lasts too long. Much too long. It feels like I've seen every bike related YouTube video twice. So, what to do now? Buying my new motorcycle is still two weeks away. Maybe time for some accessory shopping.

For me it is too soon to look for stuff like smaller indicators or mirrors. Or anything else mounted on the bike. So for now - a new helmet needs to be found. Since the bike, for which I already paid a deposit, is a classic Moto Guzzi, I am looking for a jet helmet with vintage design.

After some investigation there are only three different helmets left. A DMD Vintage, a Bell Custom 500 and Biltwell Bonanza. Since the Guzzi is all black - the helmet should also be black. Trying all of them, the Biltwell feels the most comfortable to me. The interior appears to be of high quality and there is no pressure anywhere to my head.

Find a helmet - check. But there is still a visor to be found. Since the design is important to me - I choose a tinted bubble visor also from Biltwell.

After having a first ride with a borrowed Harley 1200 Sportster, the very good first impression approves. Riding with 120 km/h is no problem - the helmet fits and the visor doesn’t move. I’m sure - I found the ideal helmet for me and my future Guzzi V7.

The helmet is available from 120 to 150 Euros, depending on color and edition. The visor costs about 40 Euros but is definitely worth it. Price to value: Excellent.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN PT.3 - COUNTRY HATTRICK ON THE MOTORBIKE

Published by GINA DREWES at November 16, 2018 in Tours
Carinthia is the southernmost province of Austria and I grew up here. The borders to Italy and Slovenia are a stone's throw away and so I spent a part of my childhood at the sea. However it also felt like years in the car, since my mum made the country roads unsafe with her green lame duck at that time. What always led to bare nerves of all fellow travellers and could only be made good again with a visit to...

(Stubai) - Brenner Pass - Jaufen Pass - ( Val Passiria - Vinschgau) - Stilfser Joch - Gaviapass (what a rough, beautiful pass!) - Tonale Pass - (Val du Nons) Mendel Pass - (Bolzano - Sarntal) - Penserjoch: This 'classic' round is impressive and spectacular again and again. The weather was wonderful on this Saturday, so I spontaneously decided to go for a ride early in the morning. An 'Iron Man' stage at the beginning of autumn - a demanding and strenuous one-day trip.

I AM THE DANGER! IMPRESSION OF A MOPED TRIP ON BALI

'It's dangerous you say? ... I AM THE DANGER!' But the understanding laugh does not come and also my girlfriend does not find me funny. 'Excuse me. I am tedesco.' No, I can't save anything with that either, I'd better shut up. To ride a moped in Bali you don't need a driving license and obviously no humour...
