When we were looking for new motorcycle trends, we drifted off a little again. As always. But we’re sure you know it - a little Instagram here, a little Facebook there and bam - an hour passed. But this time we are quite happy about it, because we stumbled upon the Facebook page of Officine Rossopuro. And we spent quite some time there.

The page is full of customized Moto Guzzis. One more beautiful than the other. When you ask Filippo Barbacane, the founder of Officine Rossopuro what persuaded him to do what he does, the word passion comes up again and again. The history of the design forge starts back in 1993. With creativity and for love of design Filippo Barbacane decides to turn his passion into a career and settles down in the region Abruzzen near Pescara. Another 5 years later the “Firestarter Garage” was founded. Customizing and design - typically italian with a touch of American influence.

From Enduro and Racer up to the Cafe Racer everything is being customized - well, customizing or complete design prototypes. Filippo has taste when it comes to beautiful and coherent shapes and one can see that immediately. The bikes appear authentic. No folderol. He likes to reduce - what’s left is the essence - the character of every single bike.

Since 2015 Officine Rossopuro has a new showroom - with more than 300 square meters. And yes, the shop of Filippo is on our trip list. Enough of the words for now, see for yourself. Enclosed are some snapshots of the two-wheelers from Pescara.

KAWASAKI H2 SX – QUICKLY AT FULL BLAST

Published by MOTORRADMAGAZIN - Clemens Kopecky at February 19, 2018 in Reviews
A motorcycle is only fast enough when you are standing in front of it and are afraid to get on. I personally am sincerely convinced of that. Because in addition to many practical, clever arguments, by means of which one tries to be convincing in a conversation with critics of the motorized two-wheeler, one particular property certainly makes motorcycles incredibly desirable to me: the sheer unreasonableness of their existence.

HONDA GOLD WING 2018 REVIEW – ON SHINY WINGS

Published by MOTORRADMAGAZIN at January 26, 2018 in Reviews
The Honda developers were not to be envied in the past. They built the most comfortable motorbike of all time and won many supporters - but also earned slander. The critics said, the Wing wasn’t a motorbike and instead of driving that, you could go by car. But most of that criticism came from bikers, who never sat on a Gold Wing before...

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN PT. 1 - AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT GOT CURVY

Published by RISER AMBASSADOR GINA DREWES at January 24, 2018 in Articles
When I inherited a HD Sportster XL 1200 built in 1997 2 years ago, I finally had a real hobby for the first time in my life. My new, old, well-kept treasure was usually moved straight ahead or at most maneuvered through long curves. The 'pretty Lola', as I call my Sporty is cumbersome and also I'm a chicken when it gets curvy. So it's time for a 'Face Your Fear' turn training and my 'therapist' and pacemaker Flo drives ahead with his Ducati Monster, which is faster and much more agile...
