10 things that go with a long motorcycle trip:

  1. Everything you want to take with you, better packed in small size and good quality!
  2. More comfort through less equipment
  3. Lightweight luggage makes off-road driving more enjoyable
  4. Always shop in such a way that you will last up to three days, even if you cannot find accommodation on the way.
  5. Living with a tent is the best and super uncomplicated! Camping equipment is one of the absolute essentials on every long motorcycle tour!
  6. Cooking for yourself is fun and you are flexible while travelling.
  7. Make sure there is always enough space in your pockets of your bike to pack enough food.
  8. Enjoy nature and take enough breaks! Don’t miss the special moments...
  9. Make sure you pack enough different clothes so you're equipped for both rain and a cool pub.
  10. Don't forget tools, first aid and toilet accessories!

I arrived with the ferry from Livorno. The crossing takes about 6 hours and I arrive on the island at about 18 o'clock. 'It's dangerous you say? ... I AM THE DANGER!' But the understanding laugh does not come and also my girlfriend does not find me funny. 'Excuse me. I am tedesco.' No, I can't save anything with that either, I'd better shut up. To ride a moped in Bali you don't need a driving license and obviously no humour...

CRUISIN’ AROUND AUSTRALIA: FROM WOLLONGONG TO MELBOURNE

Published by MOGI at July 20, 2018 in Tours
Heading from Wollongong, down the Princess Highway, all the way to Eden. Sounds like a long way but, there are heaps of stops on the way. It could take 8 to 12 hours to do it, if you really wanted to. But for me, I’ll cruise, I didn’t need to stop until Batemans Bay for fuel, already been there so I pushed on, through to Bega and a stop at the Yellow Peach Dam Rest Area, was awesome...

THE COUNTRY-, BLUES & WHISKEY MOTORCYCLE TOUR. GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN PT.2

Published by GINA DREWES at July 13, 2018 in Tours
I don't listen to country, rarely blues - and whiskey is not necessarily the drink of my choice. But how could I have said no to a route that has the same title and leads through the country where my Harley was born! Although I had not yet had the urge to explore America, this motorcycle route through the southern states aroused my curiosity.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the North Coast 500 is a circular route circumnavigating mostly coastal roads around the northern tip of the Scottish Highlands. It is generally accepted that the start point is Inverness, and from there what awaits you is just over 800 kilometers of sweeping bends, single track back whacks and what is arguably the most incredible scenery in the UK...
